[Editor’s note: we’ve updated the article with pricing, screenshots, and box art for the PS Vita port.]
We’ve learned the release date for Shiren the Wanderer 5 Plus in Japan.
The news comes from this week’s Famitsu magazine (via Hachima Kikou), which confirms the game for a June 4th release date on Playstation Vita. Shiren the Wanderer 5 Plus will cost 4,800 yen, excluding tax. The updated game includes new dungeons, which will be available when players have cleared the main story, and a new trophy system, as well as enhanced graphics.
The roguelike RPG is part of the Mystery Dungeon series of games (which also includes the new Etrian Mystery Dungeon). It was originally released on the Nintendo DS in 2010, as Fushigi no Dungeon Fuurai no Shiren 5 Plus: Fortun Tower to Unmei no Dice! (known as Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 5: Fortune Tower and the Dice of Fate in the West).
A Western release has not been announced.
