Publisher Marvelous and developer Honey ∞ Parade Games have released the final content update for Senran Kagura: New Link, coinciding with the turn-based card game going offline for good.
The free-to-play mobile game launched its final content update alongside an update to the core game, converting it to an offline-only title. The offline version will include main story cutscenes, character customizations, ninja art, and dioramas from the original game.
It’s worth pointing out non-collaboration cards owned by players before end of service can be kept when switching over to the offline version, however, the numerous collab cards will be removed from save data (likely due to expiring licenses).
While the most recent console release for the franchise was the crossover action game Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars, a smartphone spinoff title Senran Kagura: Run was released in 2024 for Japan, on smartphones.
Released back in 2017 for smartphones only in Japan, Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link was one of the final games led by series’ creator Kenichiro Takaki. The Senran Kagura creator later went to Cygames and became a producer on their titles.
