The latest Famitsu has revealed Shining Resonance Re:frain for PlayStation 4.
The new game is a remastered version of Shining Resonance, which originally released for the PlayStation 3 back in 2014 for Japan. Featured above, you can view the debut trailer for the game’s new version, which features a new theme song ‘Towairo no Aria,’ by Saori Hayami and Asami Seto.
Fans can expect the new version of the game to contain a new “Refrain Mode,” which lets you experience a what if type story focusing on Excela and Jenius – both of which being unable to become party members in the original version of the game. The core story behind the game hasn’t been changed.
As for performance, the game runs at 60FPS, and in full high-definition. There’s also new dialogue text that appears when exploring the field, and the Refrain Mode is bigger than other characters seen in the original story. There has also been new voice work recorded for the game, as well as other new changes and improvements.
Game producer Makoto Suzuki said that while they’re currently only planning for a release in Asian territories, they’re hoping to send it out to worldwide audiences too. Development is currently 90% complete.
