I remember a time when I’d only buy RPGs if their estimated playtime was over a certain number of hours. Coming off this, we’ve learned from an interview in this week’s Famitsu (via Hachima Kikou) just how long it’ll take you to play through the core story of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.
The main story in the game will take roughly 30 hours to complete. However, this doesn’t include side-quests, extras, and other oddities that aren’t part of the main story.
We’ve also learned that both Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light characters will be in the game, and they’ll be integrated as both heroes, as well as villains. These characters were selected via popularity polls (among other campaigns).
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is currently going through Q&A testing for bugs, and balancing – with all of the main content and features being complete. It’s set for a worldwide release on Wii U, some time next year.
