An anime adaptation of the series Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie will premiere this April as part of the Spring 2022 anime season.

Originally announced last year, Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie is a romantic slice-of-life series that follows an unconventional high school couple. Izumi is a rather passive and plain kind of guy, but in contrast the titular Shikimori is a cute girl but with a strong “cool” side.

Assertive and passionate, Shikimori isn’t afraid of letting her boyfriend know how much she loves him. Even if that means letting her protective and dark cool side show.
