Frogwares have released the first gameplay trailer for their detective adventure game Sherlock Holmes Chapter One.

As previously reported, the game focuses on a young Sherlock Holmes, home on a Mediterranean island. Alongside his keen intellect, observation, and his companion Johnathan (not John Watson), Holmes must uncover the mysteries of the island and his mother’s death.

Our first look at gameplay shows the locals Sherlock will visit, along with some of the people he will keenly observe, the disguises he will use, and the combat he will get into (including a little shooting). Some of the cases shown include finding a stolen cane and diamond, a drugged aristocrat, and murder.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One launches 2021 for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, GOG, and Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
