Shadowrun Returns is a complete reboot of the Shadowrun IP, kickstarter funded, and pretty awesome as a standalone game. You can check out our review for the game here.
Now, the game is finally getting its first expansion, which is simply named Dragonfall. The expansion was previously known as Berlin, but it will be launching next January for PC, Mac and Linux.
Dragonfall is set in a futuristic Berlin, in the year 2054, and it follows a story filled with conspiracies, technology and magic – all of which is being touted as a full length campaign.
Jordan Weisman, the original tabletop game’s creator, had this to say regarding the expansion:
“Berlin is the perfect setting to show off all the new gameplay and features we’ve added in this expansion. Our design team has done a fantastic job of building on the work we started with Shadowrun Returns. I couldn’t be happier.”
Shadowrun: Dragonfall will be $14.99 as an expansion to those who already own the game, while the original game will be bundled with the expansion for $24.99. The Android and iOS tablet versions are scheduled to come later, after the expansion has launched.
