Arika has confirmed the release window for Fighting EX Layer.
The fighting game will launch digitally for PlayStation 4 before the end of this June, worldwide – news confirmed during a Twitch live stream.
Featured above, you can view a recording of the live broadcast, as well as a first look at the newly confirmed playable character: Shadowgeist. Arika confirmed the game will not have a story mode, however there is a single player mode that hasn’t been confirmed. The game also won’t support older controllers, and will only have Japanese voices.
Fans can pick up the game in a standard version for $59.99 that includes 15 Gougi decks and 12 characters. There’s also a “light” version of the game that has five Gougi decks and 10 characters for $39.99. There will be downloadable content for “Type-A” and “Type-Gold” costume color variations.
Finally, Arika noted that if the game sells well, they might do a physical release – as well as a Windows PC port via Steam. It’s worth mentioning there are still two characters that haven’t been announced yet.
