Shadow of the Ninja remake teased by Tengo Project

Shadow of the Ninja remake

Natsume Atari internal studio Tengo Project has teased a new Shadow of the Ninja remake.

The new teaser comes via a new video posted by Tengo Project in which Tengo Project composer Hiroyuki Iwatsuki visits former Natsume composer Iku Mizutani and tells him they’re remaking an old Natsume Atari game.

Not only is the original game something Mizutani has worked on, but Iwatsuki asks him to join their team and handle music for the new remake. Mizutani then picks up his guitar and starts playing the Shadow of the Ninja theme.

The composer then plays more of the game’s theme song as flashes of the remake are shown, only to end with a teaser for more news in the future. Here’s the video:

The original Shadow of the Ninja was released back in 1990 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and got a rebranded Game Boy port as Ninja Gaiden Shadow.
