Nightdive Studios have revealed they are working on Shadow Man: Remastered.
The original Action adventure game was developed by Acclaim, and launched in 1999 for Nintendo 64 (later on Windows PC, Dreamcast, and PlayStation), and inspired by the Valiant Comics series of the same name.
The plot sees Michael LeRoi become the Shadow Man, a lineage of voodoo users who attempt to protect the world from those attempting to escape from the “Deadside.”
Legion is attempting to bring an army of the damned via The Five- five serial killers with dark souls who are now in the real world. LeRoi must pursue the villains across the real world and Deadside- with the latter granting him use of his powers.
Now, IGN reports Nightdive Studios is developing Shadow Man Remastered. The game will (in IGN’s words) “feature 4K resolution; improved shadow mapping, per-pixel lighting, and anti-aliasing.”
The game will also restore cut content, and introduce “other enhancements.” Nightdive Studios CEO Stephen Kick had this to say.
“Our goal with the remaster is to give today’s generation of gamers all the features that they expect from a modern title while preserving the qualities that made Valiant’s iconic character and the original Shadow Man game such memorable classics to begin with.”

Shadow Man Remastered launches 2021 on Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A new comic will also launch May 20th, 2020.
