Severed Steel PC Closed Beta Starts July 14, Sign-ups Now Live

Severed Steel

Greylock Studio have announced that they will be running a closed beta for their upcoming score attack FPS, Severed Steel.

Severed Steel is a stylish, fast-paced FPS where you play as a one-armed assassin. This means you can’t reload guns, so you’ll need to keep track of the remaining rounds in your magazine and scavenge for new guns as you run out of ammo. The game also features fully destructible environments and a parkour-inspired movement system full of wall running, sliding, air dodges, flips, and dives.

Severed Steel had a highly popular demo during the recent Steam Next Fest, but the developers still want to gather more feedback. The game will have a closed PC beta through Steam from July 14th to the 21st. The beta will feature 10 campaign levels, 10 arcade levels, and a selection of enemy types and mutators that weren’t in the previous demo. You can find out more, including how to sign-up, here.

You can find the rundown (via Steam) below:

Severed Steel is a single-player FPS featuring a fluid stunt system, destructible voxel environments, loads of bullet time, and a unique one-armed protagonist. It’s you, your trigger finger, and a steel-toed boot against a superstructure full of bad guys. Chain together wall runs, dives, flips, and slides to take every last enemy down.

Severed Steel launches 2021 for Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
