Devolver Digital and Croteam have announced the release date for Serious Sam 4.

As stated in the press release (via email), the game is a prequel where Sam is leading the Earth Defense Force, the last of earth’s defenses against alien invaders. Up to four players can play in co-op online.

The game was originally known as Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass when announced two years prior.

Serioussam.com also re-directs to to numerous trailers on Steam, along with a sale of up to 90% off the Serious Sam series. All but one of these games are 75% off or more.

A deluxe digital version of the game will include the following:

• “The exclusive Classic Tommy Gun in-game weapon skin.
• The original game soundtrack composed and mixed by Damjan Mravunac in .mp3 and lossless formats.
• A digital art book full of concept art, model renders, and exclusive glorious poster art.”

The Classic Tommy Gun skin is also available pre-order bonus.

Speaking to Kotaku, a Devolver Digital representative stated “the game is still coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 after its period of exclusivity is over with Stadia.” They reportedly added that would not be until 2021.
