Here’s yet another case of a criminal being linked to liking a video game – serial killer Miranda Barbour is apparently a fan of the From Software game Dark Souls.

The news was confirmed via Fox News, although they fail to confirm how they came to such a conclusion, so we have to assume that they simply heard it from the killer herself. They also glaringly misname the game as Dark Soul, while pulling up a shot (that clearly says Dark Souls on it) from a teaser trailer for the second game, Dark Souls 2.

Barbour is only 19 years old and has confirmed killing at least 22 people, but said that she definitely killed less than 100 people. She claims that she was part of a satanic cult, and that she took part in activities like rape, child sex, drugs, and even in-house abortions. Needless to say, she’s a very twisted person, with a very twisted past.

Sadly, news outlets are going to spin this as much as they possibly can, claiming that the dark nature of the game clearly was an influence on her murderous nature.
