The new Senran Kagura has officially been revealed (via Famitsu), titled Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash.
The brand new title will be a team based third-person shooter, with both online multiplayer and a story mode.
The game will include a cast of 30 characters, including fan favorites from the online card game Senran Kagura: New Wave Burst G.
In the Famitsu interview with series producer Kenichiro Takaki (via Hachima Kikou), he shared with them his plans for the new title, as well plans for the future of the franchise:
- Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash will take place during the game’s main storyline
- There’ll be a new action Senran Kagura game in the future
- Takaki wants to be the series in one big world, suggesting will games will have one continuity instead of two
- The amount of costumes the player can get wet has increased, with a large amount of swimsuits
- Takaki plans to add Playstation VR support to the game post release.
- The game will have 10 different water guns
The game will also be releasing in Japan with a special “Super Limited Nyuu Nyuu 5th Anniversary DX Pack”, which includes:
- The game itself
- A product card
- A life sized Nyuu Nyuu mouse pad of Yumi
- A special illustrated box by Nana Yaegashi
- An art book
- A soundtrack
- A 5 Year Anniversary Commemoration Previous Opening Animations Blu-ray disc.
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash will be released in Japan on March 16th, 2017 for the PS4.
