Capcom is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Sengoku Basara series with a special anniversary edition of Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi in Japan.
Sengoku Basara is a series of strategical hack and slash video games where players control historical figures of Japan’s Sengoku period (Warring States Era) of provincial lords fighting for control of Japan.
Players fight their way through swaths of enemies, fighting enemy commanders and taking control of fortifications on the map, a power fantasy of single-handedly turning the tide of a battle with the player’s unit making all the difference.
The new 15th anniversary edition of Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi was announced on Capcom’s official website and provides a list of contents provided in the new limited edition release.

The 15th Anniversary Edition will include the full game along with 66 pieces of DLC; 56 original DLC, and 10 additional weapon/item codes.
It is unknown if there will be a western release of the anniversary edition Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi. While other hack and slash titles like Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and even Hyrule Warriors have a western fanbase; the Sengoku Basara series remains largely unknown outside of Asia.
