Sekai Project are localizing Rain Marginal, the new game by Tomo Kataoka, for the English market.
Some describe the new title as a sound novel, while the game’s official English website says Rain Marginal is
A serious visual novel telling the story of a man who steps into an elevator, only to find himself transported to a strange and mysterious world.
In this world, there is no time, no aging, no hunger, not even death. There is nothing to be seen but weathered stone, white clouds, and endless rain.
The only other person there, Rin, tells him to get out.
Just what story is behind someone who has lived alone in this place for untold years, decades, even centuries…
Will a day come when the rain finally ends?
The game was released last December in Japan, so the decision to localize it appears to have been made swiftly. Agilis, the translators for Narcissu 1st + 2nd, will be helping with the project.
Rain Marginal can be pre-ordered for $9.99. Purchasers get a Steam key and a DRM-free copy. The sound/visual novel will be available in the second half of 2015 for PCs.
