Seiken Densetsu Collection Dev Says Ask Square Enix for Secret of Mana 2 in English

When Square Enix announced the Seiken Densetsu Collection for the Nintendo Switch, many fans naturally wondered if this meant Seiken Densetsu 3, or as we would know it – Secret of Mana 2 –  would finally get an English translation.

The developers handling the port of all three classic games, M2., are currently only working on the Japanese release for the collection.

The company’s president, Noaki Horii, responded to a few fans when asked if the game or games would get an English release. More specifically, Horii noted:

“Eng ver. of Seiken Densetsu 3: If a translation exists, Square Enix would have it, not us. If not, I don’t think it’s impossible to make one, but we haven’t looked into it,” Horii said. He continued:

“If you really want an Eng ver, I think the best chance would be to show Square Enix your enthusiasm.”

Originally released back in 1995 for the Super Famicom, Seiken Densetsu 3 has never gotten an official English-language release. The game has been playable in English, however, since 2000 via fan translations.
