Sega has announced a new project to celebrate their 60th anniversary, and it’s focusing on their iconic Virtua Fighter series.
The new teaser is for “Virtua Fighter x eSports” project, and will “restart” the Virtua Fighter franchise as an “eSports title” to celebrate their anniversary. That’s all we have to go on for now.
The original Virtua Fighter was released back in 1993 as the world’s first 3D fighting game, and its most recent entry was Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, which released back in 2010 as an updated re-release of the 2005 original Virtua Fighter 5.
