Sega has announced (via Famitsu) a pair of official Sonic the Hedgehog shoes just in time for the series’ 26th anniversary.

The new shoes are styled off the very pair Sonic himself wears, and will launch sometime in the middle of next month.

Designed by ANIPPON, the shoes come in the following sizes: 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 (all Japanese sizes, 28JP translates to a size 9 in North American shoes), and will cost you 6,500 yen (excluding tax), which is roughly $60.

Pre-orders are going live tomorrow, June 23rd, via the official ANIPPON website. Sega teases that wearing these shoes will let you “run at supersonic speed like Sonic!”
