The recent wave of Persona 6 leaks may have received its biggest sign of legitimacy yet, as Sega has reportedly started issuing DMCA takedown notices targeting leaked images circulating online.
According to multiple reports, posts containing alleged Persona 6 assets, including logos and character artwork, have begun disappearing from social media platforms such as X. While Sega has not publicly commented on the leaks, many fans view the takedowns as an indication that the materials are genuine rather than fabricated.
The leaks first surfaced on Chinese social media platforms and quickly spread across the rest of the internet. They included character designs, background artwork that many believe points toward a Yokohama setting, file names referencing party members, and what appears to be an early version of the game’s logo.
Adding fuel to the discussion, respected Atlus insider lolilolailo previously claimed that the blond-haired character shown in the leaked artwork is indeed the game’s protagonist. The insider also suggested that Persona 6 is already feature-complete internally but has been pushed back to a potential 2027 release window.
As often happens with high-profile leaks, attempts to remove the content may have had the opposite effect. Discussions surrounding the game have only intensified, with many fans now speculating that an official reveal could happen sooner rather than later.
