Sega has announced (via Hachima) plans for a playable Yakuza 6 demo in Japan.

The company will release a demo that enables fans to play through the beginning of the game, until its first chapter – news announced during a Famitsu-hosted livestream of the game this morning.

Any progress you’ve made in the save data for this demo will naturally carry over into the full game. Further details, like a release date for the demo, were not confirmed.

Yakuza 6 is launching for PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 8th.
