Sega and Level Infinite are skipping E3 2023

E3 2023

A new report confirms two more big game publishers are pulling out of E3 2023 – now Sega and Level Infinite are skipping the event.

“After careful consideration, we have decided not to participate in E3 2023 as an exhibitor,” Sega said to IGN. “We look forward to sharing more information on announced and unannounced projects in the future.”

Tencent subsidiary Level Infinite also confirmed they’re not attending, and some companies and publishers wouldn’t confirm whether or not they’re attending – like Bandai Namco.

The news was confirmed not long after Ubisoft withdrew from the event, prompting one source to say “There’s no possible way this show can happen.”

Devolver Digital – who never actually attend but host their own event outside the E3 Expo with a large balloon, also confirmed they aren’t hosting that but are prepping their annual showcase. Nintendo is skipping as well, though Microsoft is running their own Xbox Games Showcase just prior to E3 so it’s likely they’ll skip the event too.

E3 2023 is running from June 13th through the 16th, and will feature separate industry-only and public-access days.
