Sea of Stars is getting 3-player local co-op play

Indie developer Sabotage Studio announced they’re adding local cooperative play in Sea of Stars, their excellent throwback role playing game.

Sea of Stars is getting three-player local cooperative play in a new update called “Single Player+” soon, though a release date wasn’t confirmed. The studio also confirmed the game has been played by over 5 million people since launch.

“This mode allows for three players to journey together in Sea of Stars,” Sabotage Studio said in a press release. “Staying true to the game’s core turn-based roots, each player will engage in traversal and combat with a new “Co-op timed hits” mechanic as they embark with friends on Sea of Stars’ grand adventure.”

Sea of Stars launched in August 2023 for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5. Check out our review for the game!
