Solo Japanese developer METASLA has announced a Switch release for Sea Fantasy, their pixelated open world fishing RPG.
Sea Fantasy is coming to Switch (via the eShop) later this month, on June 19th worldwide. The previously announced Xbox version is still coming and will be released in July – a firm date will be announced on June 27th.
Sea Fantasy was originally released in January for Windows PC (via Steam) a bit sooner than its original release.

Save the world with fishing!? This is the story of two young men who go on an adventure to catch the mysterious sea creatures called “Sea’Az”.
Features
- Sea’Az a mysterious marine organism – In the world of Sea Fantasy, marine life called “Sea’Az” inhabit the oceans and lakes. They vary in appearance, size and rarity, and all Sea’Az can be fished.
- Fishing the Sea’Az – To catch Sea’Az, perform a successful “Gauge Action”. Be careful, as there are Sea’Az with more powerful individual “gauge gimmick”.
- Crafting with Sea’Az materials – You can create equipment (fishing rods and hooks) using materials obtained from the Sea’Az you catch. By creating strong equipment, you can take advantage of the fishing action.
- Explore by boat – Players can obtain a ship by advancing through the storyline. Players can freely get on and off the ship and explore the vast pixel world.
- Various 2D actions other than fishing – It is not only about fishing. You can enjoy various 2D action elements in between fishing.
