Texas-based independent developer Mothership Entertainment has signed a publishing deal with Team17 for their upcoming sci-fi city-builder, Aven Colony.
The new deal secures a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release for the game, alongside its already confirmed PC release. A Q2 release is not set for the game across all the aforementioned platforms. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game.
If you’re unable to wait for an honest-to-goodness city builder experience, you can buy into the game’s early beta via their itch.io page, for $24.99. The price is set to increase following the game’s full Steam release.
Paul Tozour, founder of Mothership Entertainment, noted the game’s beta has allowed their “tiny four-person team” to fully “engage with the community and grow the game significantly as we build toward some big new features we plan to unveil in the coming months.”
Aven Colony has you playing as a new governor in humanity’s pioneer colony outside the Milky Way. You’ll be tasked with providing a clean, healthy, and prosperous environment for your colonists to thrive in.
