THQ Nordic and developer Piranha Bytes have announced the release date for their upcoming sci-fi action RPG, Elex.

The handcrafted, post apocalyptic science-fantasy RPG will launch on October 17th across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Featured above, a new CGI trailer was released to celebrate the game’s release date announcement.  The trailer introduces the main journey the player will undertake, driving them across the devastated planet Magalan.

A swanky collector’s edition was also revealed:

The collector’s edition includes the following goodies:

• A 10-inch-high figurine of an Alb Mage
• A 2-inch amulet in the form of a combat drone
• A cloth map, showing the world of Magalan
• The original score on CD
• An artbook
• The game’s manual
• The game itself, obviously
