The developers of Drug Dealer Simulator have been erroneously blamed for an impending legal investigation against the popular indie game Schedule 1.
Both games involve players making and dealing drugs as part of an ironic “simulator” game. While Schedule 1 has a bit more of a silliness to it, the games are apparently similar enough that Movie Games, the publisher of Drug Dealer Simulator has opened an investigation into potential copyright infringement.
At present, there isn’t an active lawsuit, but already fans are blaming the developers of DDS for the action taken against Schedule 1. However it turns out that Byterunners, the developer of the game, had no idea about the investigation started by their publisher.

According to Movie Games, they became “obligated” to investigate the similarities between Drug Dealer Simulator and Schedule 1, despite initially congratulating developer TGVS on their successful release.
Schedule 1 is available now on Windows PC (via Steam).
Drug Dealer Simulator is also available on Windows PC (via Steam) and currently sits at an Overwhelmingly Negative rating due to the publisher’s controversial decision.
