Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced the release date of “brainpunk” action JRPG Scarlet Nexus, alongside a new story and gameplay trailer.
As previously reported, the game is set in a distant future where the city of New Himuka is under siege from mutants called the Others. Players control Yuito Sumeragi, a new recruit for the Other Suppression Force, that is tasked with using their powerful psionic abilities to protect humanity.
Along with confirming the release date, the new story and gameplay trailer focuses on fellow OSF member Kasane Randall. Her pragmatic attitude belies her brutal psychokinetic abilities. These are further augmented when working alongside her allies, combing their abilities with her own. However, Kasane may come into conflict with her allies.

Scarlet Nexus launches June 25th on Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
