Save My Scrap

Publisher AMATA Games and developer Unio Anou announced Save My Scrap, a new visual novel / puzzle game based on the freeware game Fix My Junk, which got popular for its gorgeous pixel art and heart-wrenching story.

Save My Scrap is a “significantly upgraded” version of Fix My Junk, bringing with it additional dialogue and endings written by Unio Anno himself, as well as a new gallery mode, support for game controllers, and various quality of life improvements thanks to a new game engine. Save My Scrap is now the definitive edition of Fix My Junk.

Save My Scrap is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PS5 with a release set for sometime in 2026.

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:

You are a mechanic for androids who has received a request from a new client. The client is a doctor named Miomaru and his personal android, an old, near-failing model named Harima.

As per your client’s request, you begin repairing Harima. You connect the cords, trade out parts, and bring life back to the functions that had broken down. It was supposed to be a simple mechanical repair.

However, the more you deepen your bonds with Harima and Miomaru, the more you start to realize something. You’re not just repairing an android anymore. You’re connecting the cords that spark their memories; ones that they’d tried to forget.

Once your job is finished, you will be forced to confront shocking truths and hear their heartrending pleas.

Gameplay

  • Android Repairs – Look inside Harima’s body to find the parts that need to be fixed through a variety of mini-games. These repairs will be the key to learning about your clients’ past.
  • Conversation – Talk with your clients, Miomaru and Harima, to gain their trust and get to the true crux of their story. Your choices will change how they respond.
  • World-building – While in your car, you can listen to the radio and gain more insights into the world and its culture. Try out several channels to gain even more insight into the game’s world.

Steam Features:

  • New conversations
  • New endings
  • An unlockable gallery mode featuring event CGs and character backgrounds.
  • Additional controller support.
