• Sanane and Hayate Confirmed for Fighting EX Layer

    Arika has confirmed the final two playable combatants for Fighting EX Layer.

    The game’s base roster will have fighters Sanane and Hayate as the twelfth and thirteenth combatants, rounding out its main roster.

    Featured above, you can view a new trailer introducing the entire roster, including Sanane (formerly known as Nanase) and Hayate.


    Company president and CEO Akira Nishitani teased an extra game mode, as well as future post-launch characters to be released as DLC. Here are the characters he hopes to get made as DLC:

    He said the company won’t let him make new characters if they don’t make their target in the first month of release.

    In the spirit of April Fool’s Day, he also showed off art for SNK producer Yasuyuki Oda as a fighter:

    Fighting EX Layer is launching worldwide for PlayStation 4 by the end of this June.
