Koei Tecmo has debuted the first trailer for Samurai Warriors 4-II, the not-really-a-sequel reimagining of Samurai Warriors 4.
In addition to more content, such as a new military commander, Ii Naomasa, and new stages, 4-II will also add new gameplay modes and features.
“Musou Military Exercise” mode, in which you choreograph battles, has playable offline and co-operative modes, and “Create-a-warrior” mode will allow you to upload images of your warrior online.
The new gameplay features include improved character and weapon advancement systems. Weapons and horses that have the same attributes become more powerful when used together, thanks to synthesis; and characters learn skills through books found on the battlefield.
We’ve already provided a more in-depth overview of the new game here.
Samurai Warriors 4-II is due out in Japan on February 22 on the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Playstation Vita.
P.S. Koei Tecmo has also released another thirty-second snippet of gameplay, so if the above spectacle wasn’t enough for you …
