Samurai Warriors 4: Empires Coming West in Early 2016

Koei Tecmo has announced that Samurai Warriors 4: Empires is coming west.

The game will be arriving sometime in early 2016 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita. To be clear, this is a North American and European release.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires just launched in Japan today.

    Hell yes. Glad they’re not going to skip us over, like with Empires 3 (done for the bizarre reason of ‘lack of sales’ on the original Samurai Warriors 3, despite it being a Wii exclusive in the west).

    Maybe it was because it was Wii exclusive? SW3 had a lot of non-Wii spinoff games that never came over too, didn’t it?

    Yeah, that was what I meant. They released it for a single system, the Wii of all choices, then cited low sales as a major reason why they weren’t bringing over the spin-offs for other systems.

    Gotta figure whatever Nintendo paid them to make it Wii-exclusive wasn’t anywhere near enough, since the series didn’t even stay exclusive for a single iteration.
