• Samurai Shodown is Getting a DLC Character from The Last Blade

    SNK Corporation has announced the next post-launch character for Samurai Shodown.

    The developer is adding a character from their The Last Blade fighting game series to Samurai Shodown’s Season Pass 3 – news confirmed in a developer message shared with their port for The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny to Nintendo Switch.


    “I’m proud to announce we’re bringing a character from The Last Blade into SamSho Season Pass 3!”, Samurai Shodown director Hayato Konya said.

    SNK producer Yasuyuki Oda teased, “Wow! It’s that old fogey, Genbu no Okina, right?”

    Konya added, “Actually, they’re someone the fans absolutely adore! Of course, we’re also balancing and adjusting the game as well. You guys are really gonna love it!”

    Samurai Shodown has been available for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, and Stadia), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game is coming to Xbox Series X+S sometime this winter.
