According to the latest media create numbers out of Japan, the 3DS has just reached the milestone of 15 million sales and is already set to pass the PSP sometime in the upcoming year.  It has also been announced that Nintendo has already shipped 40 million units worldwide.  Even though the 3DS is not shaping up to be the phenomenon the original DS was, those are still very impressive numbers.

Also Famitsu is reporting that the Wii U has just surpassed the Xbox 360 in totals sales over in Japan.  Something to be proud of I guess but considering that the Xbox 360 is a mere afterthought in Japan I find it odd that it took this long for the Wii U to achieve this milestone.
