Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dark Souls II has sold over 2.5 million units worldwide.
The news comes from their Global Gamers Day event, where the publisher confirmed the new milestone. It’s worth mentioning an expansion/new version of the game, Dark Souls II: Scholars of the First Sin, shipped worldwide last month. Scholars of the First Sin comes with gameplay balancing, all of the previously released downloadable content, as well as current-generation versions.
Finally, Bandai Namco also confirmed that Dragon Ball Xenoverse has also sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. However, while Dark Souls II was released back in March of last year, Dragon Ball Xenoverse has only been available since February of this year.
