Saints Row reboot gets first big update in November with over 200 bug fixes

Saints Row reboot

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Volition announced the first major update for the Saints Row reboot is coming next month.

While the development team wanted to start teasing new content planned for the Saints Row reboot, for now their “development priority is delivering improvements over new features”, as the game saw a pretty bad launch.

The big new update will have over 200 bug fixes, and is mostly focused on overall stability, cooperative play, and in-game challenges.

“We’re especially aware of issues some players have been having with co-op and we’re sorry these fixes have taken longer than expected while we apply and test them thoroughly,” Volition said in the update notes.

Volition noted the update will have a bunch of quality-of-life improvements, including: improved vehicle management, less redundant activities, better challenges, and even redone haptic / rumble features.

They added, “Separately, we know that the game doesn’t always clearly explain how and when co-op is possible, so we are working on this too.”

The game is also getting the first in a series of free cosmetic packs this week, with even more coming to Expansion Pass owners entirely free.

Saints Row has been available since August 2022 on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review on the game here!
