In a charity drive for Humble Bundle, UK youtubers from the Yogscast channel were streaming some games to help entice people to donate money to Humble, and receive said games. The time came for them to show off Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed (a featured game), and some fans noticed something .. very interesting.

Ryo Hazuki, a playable character from the original Sonic racing game, is apparently a planned downloadable content character. Although this is still unconfirmed, lots of fans (myself included) squealed with glee as he is driving …. an OutRun arcade cabinet. His water vehicle was also shown off:

Which features him riding on a floating Hang-On arcade cabinet. For those who haven’t played Shenmue, those are arcade cabinets are playable within the game, so seeing them in a game already littered with fanservice is pretty awesome. The only vehicle not shown off was his flying form, which is probably another arcade cabinet.

Unfortunately, due to the cost of updates being done on other platforms, this downloadable content (and the previous batches) are probably never coming to Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, or the Playstation Vita, and will only be available on PC.
