Jagex has announced both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are heading to mobile devices.
The new version of their long-running MMORPG and its original, “Old School” version are both coming to iOS and Android devices. First Old School RuneScape is going mobile this winter, with RuneScape Anywhere coming afterwards.
It’s worth pointing out that you’ll be able to play with users on the computer versions of the game.
Here’s a rundown on both versions, via Jagex:
Players will be able to log out from their PC when they need to be AFK, and launch the mobile app to continue their adventure on the move, picking up from the in-game moment that they left it on PC… and vice versa.
Players will be able to have a RuneScape and Old School RuneScapeadventure just on their mobile devices if they choose, enabling past RuneScape players who have moved from PC to mobile as a preferred platform, to reconnect with the game and their characters once again.
RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are currently available for PC, Mac, and Linux.
