The recently rumored summer 2026 Nintendo Direct may be closer than many fans expected.
According to industry insiders Jeff Grubb and NateTheHate, Nintendo is reportedly planning a new presentation around June 9, although the company has yet to make anything official.
What has fans particularly excited is the claim that this won’t be a Partner Showcase. Instead, both insiders suggest Nintendo is preparing a full general Nintendo Direct, meaning the focus would likely be on first-party games, major announcements, and updates on upcoming releases.
The timing makes plenty of sense. Nintendo traditionally hosts a major Direct during June, and with Summer Game Fest already underway, the company has a perfect opportunity to showcase its plans for the rest of 2026.
As always with rumors, it’s worth keeping expectations in check until Nintendo confirms anything publicly. Still, both Grubb and NateTheHate have established track records when it comes to industry reporting, which has given these claims extra weight within the gaming community.
