A new rumor is claiming Sega is developing big reboots for Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio, with the goal of recreating the popularity of Fortnite.
The new rumor suggesting Sega is developing big reboots for Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio comes via Bloomberg, who cite “people familiar with” Sega’s plans.
As mentioned in the rumor, the big reboots for Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio are purportedly the first releases in Sega’s previously announced “Super Game” initiative, where the publisher and developer is looking to ape Epic Games’ lightning in a bottle money-printing machine: Fortnite.
Sega’s very real Super Game plans would reportedly see the big reboots for Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio released within the next two to three years, and are meant to secure more revenue streams for the Japanese company. A goal is purportedly building online communities around their existing IPs.
As with any rumor, take this one for big reboots for Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio with a grain of salt. We’ll keep you guys posted.
