A new rumor is making the rounds – one that points to a new Star Fox game being developed for the Nintendo Switch.

The new rumor first appeared on Reddit and 4Chan, and it claims that Retro Studios are working on a Star Fox racing game spin-off, appropriately titled Star Fox Grand Prix.

Whomever made the original post claims the game will be “something like Diddy Kong Racing mixed with F-Zero, but more like F-Zero gameplay. It will have an adventure mode of some kind (think Diddy Kong Racing), and there will be boss fights and a hub world like it, too.”

Eurogamer weighed in and said that while they haven’t heard the official title, details surrounding the project match what they’ve heard thus far.

For now, chalk this up to a rumor until we hear something from Nintendo – probably at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. Sound off in the comments below if you’d like a Star Fox racing game!
