A new rumor is making the rounds – pointing to a new Nintendo Switch model coming this year.
The new rumor (via DigiTimes, shared by the WSJ, Serkan Toto) alleges that a new Switch console is coming in the middle of 2020, via “sources from the related upstream supply chain.” The company is reportedly set to kick off production of the console by end of Q1 2020.
Both WSJ reporter / analyst Takashi Mochizuki and industry analyst Serkan Toto shared the story, the latter of which reported the new model will have an improved CPU, and a chassis made of a magnesium alloy, not the plastic found in the previous models.
