A new rumor is pointing to what could be the next acquisition for tech giant Microsoft.
The rumor (via Kotaku) claims Microsoft is looking to purchase Obsidian Entertainment, a premiere studio mostly known for their robust role-playing games.
Kotaku cited “three people briefed on the negotiations” and said the two companies have basically reached an agreement for the acquisition. One source said the deal is “90%” done, and that it’s a matter of when, not it.
Obsidian Entertainment’s latest game, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire,is now available for Windows PC, Mac, and Linux, with a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version planned in the future. In case you missed it, you can find our very thorough review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).
