File this under a rumor for now – but there are a large number of tweets coming from this year’s Japan Expo that are claiming series creator Yuji Horii has announced both Dragon Quest VII and Dragon Quest VIII for a western release, on the Nintendo 3DS.

While the tweets are stating this release is for the French market (as Japan Expo is in France), this could be an indication that both games are getting a global release outside of Japan.
