A new rumor is pointing to Microsoft launching the previously rumored disc-less Xbox One model sooner than we thought.
The new rumor (via Windows Central) claims the disc-less model, what they’re saying will be called the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, will be launching in early May of this year.
The model is reportedly code-named Xbox “Maverick” by Microsoft internally, and pre-orders will launch in mid-April of this year. The sources notes the new model could “be a near-global simultaneous launch for almost all existing Xbox markets.”
Lastly, the source notes a Fortnite Edition console with a custom design is in the works – however they’re unsure what variation of Xbox One this will come under.
As with any rumor – take this with a grain of salt. We’ll keep you guys posted.
