Grasshopper Manufacture shared more details for ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN, their new “ultra-violent science fiction” game starring a time-traveling FBI agent.
Executive director and scenario writer Goichi ‘SUDA51’ Suda teased a possible Nintendo Switch 2 version for the game, saying: “We’re looking into what we can do to make a Switch 2 version happen.”
Furthermore, Suda confirmed the game “contains no AI-generated stuff whatsoever, so please rest easy on that front.”
That latter comment here is likely in response to LET IT DIE: INFERNO, a sequel to the original LET IT DIE that he worked on, revealing genAI use for several of its in-game assets.
ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN was just given a release date across Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on February 11th, 2026.

At the same time, he looks for clues concerning his missing girlfriend Juliet, and quickly comes to find both her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. Donning the mask called Deadgear, what awaits Romeo at the edges of space-time?
