Roller Coaster Tycoon World Resurfaces With New Look

With the summer months forcing us all outside to amusement parks, it makes sense to go back inside and enjoy those activities without having to sweat or stand in lines. If you subscribe to that mode of thinking, you’re probably looking forward to Atari’s Roller Coaster Tycoon World. Though it’s been awhile since we last saw anything of the title, it seems a bit of a reboot of the game’s look has happened, since a new screenshot, seen above, has been released to the gaming public, courtesy of a recent blog post.

Somewhat appropriately, development of the title has had as many ups and downs as a roller coaster itself, with the game being handed off to three different studios since it was first announced. Starting in the hands of Pipeworks, then being handed off to Area 52 games before landing in the lap of a developer we still haven’t heard about, Roller Coaster Tycoon World hasn’t given fans much hope. An earlier blog post by Atari hasn’t completely erased those worries either.

The details concerning the new developer and a slew of new screenshots are promised to follow this one, so fans looking for news on the status of the game will soon have it.
