The fine folks at Conatus Creative have, through some strange sorcery, manged to acquire the rights to develop an official sequel to the NES classic River City Ransom.

The original game has over the years achieved legendary status for it’s you unique blend of beat’em up and role playing game mechanics. Conatus Creative have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund their sequel which aims to feature additional playable characters, a larger River City, and 4 player co-op, with the 8-bit style of the original game.

Not only does the Kickstarter has some pretty cool reward tiers,  but you get to pay in Canadian money, and everyone loves Canada right? Well, at least no one has any strong feelings about Canada one way or the other.  This is a good thing.
