Gearbox Publishing and developer Hopoo Games have launched their 3D action roguelite, Risk of Rain 2, from Steam Early Access.
The game entered Early Access in March 2019, and was followed by console versions in August 2019. Much like its predecessor, players choose from different survivors with unique sets of skills and fight their way through procedurally generated levels, grabbing loot and other upgrades to survive increasingly difficult challenges.
The release from Early Access was accompanied by a gigantic update that added new content and a long list of balance tweaks. You can read more about the update here. No word yet on when this update will come to the console versions of the game.
Risk of Rain 2 is currently $19.99 USD, with a 20% discount that lasts until August 18th. The price will then increase to $24.99 USD.

SURVIVE AN ALIEN PLANET

With randomized stages, enemies, and items, no run will ever be the same.
PLAY SOLO OR CO-OP
Tackle the adventure solo or with up to three friends in online co-op, or compete in the rotating challenge of the Prismatic Trials. Brand new survivors like the Captain and MUL-T join classic survivors such as the Engineer, Huntress, and–of course–the Commando.
Risk of Rain 2 is available on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
