nWay have released a new trailer for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid– showing off new character Lord Drakkon.

The character had originally only appeared in Boom! Studios’ Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic- a retelling of the classic series story (and a few other Power Rangers continuities and series) with a more serious and less camp tone.

For those who do not know, Tommy Oliver (the Green Power Ranger) was briefly turned evil by Rita Repulsa. In an alternate reality where he never fully recovered from it, he eventually conquered the earth.

Lord Drakkon is Tommy Oliver from a world where he never strayed from the path of evil, even once Rita’s spell was broken. His ambition unsated by conquering his own world, he turns his gaze towards the entirety of the Morphin Grid.

Drakkon is a high mobility fighter with a wide range of attack options that keeps his opponent’s guessing. Although many of his combos and attack sequences are beginner-friendly, there are several advanced techniques players can learn in order to optimize his attack sequences and combos.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is launching April 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will also launch later in 2019 for Windows PC.
